One such powerhouse is Daniela, who’s the Training and Development Manager at Espace, who’s constantly inspiring the next round of successful female leaders in the industry.
From sales to training – A trip down memory lane…
Daniela’s early beginnings started in Canada before she relocated to Dubai for a career in Emirates Airlines, which is the world’s leading airline provider, where she worked as a cabin crew member for nearly a decade until 2020, hanging up her badge to follow something she was very passionate and curious to learn about – which was real estate.
Transitioning into real estate with no previous experience, she opted to join the leasing team and learn more about the industry. In her time as a leasing agent, Daniela took the time to understand her clients, learn the market and build up her network.
Once she built her foundation in leasing, Daniela decided to transition to a sales agent in Dubai Marina. In her real estate career, she sold properties, raking up millions, and this ignited her passion for mentoring others. Then came an opening in Espace for a trainer, Daniela applied – and the rest is history!
“I was already mentoring people naturally, and when the position for Training & Development Manager opened up, it just felt like the right move. I saw it as an opportunity for long-term growth,” she shares.
What keeps her motivated now? Seeing the new joiners thrive. Training fresh talent, watching them close their first deals, and knowing she played a role in their success is what fuels her every day.
Male vs. Female – How women are breaking gender barriers in real estate
While real estate has long been considered a male-dominated industry, Daniela believes that this is changing.
“Times are changing, and 40% of the leadership at Espace is female, breaking that stereotype. Some of the top-performing agents at Espace are women, which proves that success isn’t about gender, it’s about skill, the work environment, resilience, and hard work.” She said.
Her advice for women looking to grow in real estate? Stay open to new opportunities.
Standing out – How Daniela’s setting up agents for success
What makes Daniela a standout trainer? It’s her structured and organised approach, combined with real-life experience.
Because she’s worked in both leasing and sales, she feels like she can relate to the challenges new agents face. She doesn’t just teach theory but believes in sharing real-life scenarios and stories that help them understand what to expect in the field.
With 20-25 new agents joining Espace each month, Daniela leads an intensive two-week training program, equipping them with the skills and confidence to thrive in the industry.
The balancing act – How Daniela’s maintaining a work-life balance
Despite the demands of her role, Daniela has mastered the art of work-life balance. She sticks to her hobbies, yoga, the gym, and getting sunshine therapy.
