Dubai Creek Golf Club
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club first opened in Dubai, UAE, in 1993, and has been voted one of the world’s ‘Top 100 Must-Play Golf Courses’.
The renowned resort features an 18-hole championship golf course, a 9 hole Par 3 course, a golf academy, six fabulous restaurants and bars, top of the range gymnasium, a swimming pool, the Park Hyatt Hotel, exclusive residential executive villas and a 121-berth marina.
The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club has a unique charm nestled between the serene settings of the tranquil Creek, you would never know it’s just a short distance away from the city centre.
You’re sure to enjoy your round of golf in this beautiful environment which is lined with date palms and coconut trees, attractive water features and shrubbery with tropical air leading up to the Club’s 18-hole, par-71 championship course that rolls into thousands of yards.
The Clubhouse has been designed mirroring the sails of the traditional Arab dhow – has been one of the most photographed landmarks since the clubs opening, capturing the essence of Dubai’s seafaring traditions and presenting the perfect fusion of heritage with modernity and style.
Majlis Course, Emirates Golf Club
Behind the 8th green sits the evident Bedouin tent styled Emirates Golf Club Royal Pavilion that makes this course one of a kind.
Majlis was the first grass course in the Middle East to have 18-holes and is well and truly carved out of the landscape. Desert dunes surround the perimeter with salt and freshwater water, one of the true hallmarks of the course, however, lies on the greens with large, fast surfaces and difficult pin positions making a good score hard to come by.
The club also offers another 18-hole championship golf course as well as a nine-hole par-3 course. This course, which takes its name from the Arabic word for “meeting place,” is sculpted from tall desert dunes. The layout features lush fairways and large greens that are covered with hundreds of indigenous species of flora and fauna. There are also seven natural lakes that come into play as water hazards throughout the golf course. One of the most notably challenging holes on the Majlis Course is the par-4 8th hole, which is a dogleg that plays uphill and requires a lengthy, well-directed drive in order to make it to the small, undulating green.
The Els Club
Located in Dubai Sports City this club is quite the spectacle, with the Els Club golf course being only one element of what the complex can offer.
Why don’t you work on your swing at the range pre-round or at the high-class performance institute on-site that offers physical screening and in-depth video analysis, perfect for mastering your swing.
The desert-style course was sculpted from sand with a manmade intervention giving the relatively flat topography definition.
The Els opened in 2007 and was an instant hit that gathered much praise from the golfing community for its perfect combination of modern contemporary design blended with traditional features. The Els Club prides itself on being able to provide a 5-star experience to all golfers from start to finish and with the clubhouse being amongst the best found in Dubai, along with its superb facilities including a pro shop, bar, restaurant, 5*changing rooms. This club offers all of its members a real luxury feel.
Earth Course, Jumeirah Golf Estates
A one of a kind experience here will not fail your expectations with surroundings to be applauded with a challenging round that awaits you at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The Earth championship course will let you know what it feels like to walk the fairways like a pro, and we are not stretching the truth when we say this is one of the best courses in Dubai. Not to mention a regular host to the DP World Tour, there have been plenty of the big names laying up and pitching in here including the likes of Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood and Jon Rahm.
As an overview of the course, it was design inspired by the great parkland courses of Europe and North America, with rolling fairways lined by over 3,500 lushest trees, numerous water hazards and over 100 bunkers this golf course is a fantastic experience for all. The 4th hole is one to look out for, at 253 yards from the back tees it is the start of a very tough stretch through the front nine.
